Heard Sri Ranjeet Singh, learned counsel for petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel for respondents.

It has been submitted by learned counsel for petitioner that petitioner was granted compassionate appointment on the post of Godown Chowkidar in Group -D category on death of his father Late Akbar Ali.

By means of present writ petition, the petitioner has claimed benefit of the old pension which was admissible prior to 01.07.2004.

In this regard, learned Standing Counsel has submitted that representation given by the petitioner has been rejected by the competent authority on 10.10.2024 and a copy of the same has already been provided.

At this stage, learned counsel for petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw this writ petition with a liberty to the petitioner to file afresh writ petition assailing the rejection order dated 10.10.2024.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as not pressed with the aforesaid liberty.
