The contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner after being selected as "Agniveer" had applied for issue of character certificate which has been turned down vide Citizen Services Verification, a copy of which is annexure 1 to the writ petition.
The contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that he has to submit the character certificate by 28.04.2024 and hence the urgency.
Learned Standing counsel prays for and is granted two days time to seek instructions as to whether in case a person applies for character certificate, the officials have an option of not issuing the certificate or even if something adverse is found against the said person, the character certificate has to be issued.
List this case day after tomorrow i.e 26.04.2024 as fresh.
