The petitioner, who is a Inspector in the State Police, posted at Siddarth Nagar has applied for a transfer to any district to the Meerut Zone and for the purpose he has addressed an application dated 03rd April, 2024 to the Additional Director General of Police (Establishment), Police Head Quarters, Lucknow.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the ground on which he seeks transfer is the residence of his family members within the Meerut Zone, in one town or the other and submits that his request that is in accordance with the transfer policy of the State.
In the circumstances, the Additional Director General of Police (Establishment), Board, Police Head Quarter, Lucknow before whom application dated 3rd April, 2024 preferred by the petitioner is pending is ordered to decide the same within ten days from the date of receipt of this order and communicate the same to the petitioner, wherever he is posted.
The petition is, accordingly, disposed of in terms of the said order.
Let this order be communicated to the Additional Director General of Police, Headquarters, U.P. Lucknow through the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Lucknow and the Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Nagar through the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Siddharth Nagar, by the Registrar (Compliance) within 48 hours .
