Heard the counsel for the petitioner.

The grievance of the petitioner in the present petition is that his pension are not being paid by the Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Urban), U.P., Lucknow even though the petitioner retired from the Department on 31.8.2020.

In this regard, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 23.11.2023 and it is stated in the petition that no decision is being taken by the Managing Director on the aforesaid representation of the petitioner.

It would serve no useful purpose to keep the petition pending.

The petition is disposed of with a direction to the Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Urban), U.P., Lucknow that in case, the petitioner makes a fresh representation before the Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Urban), U.P., Lucknow, the same shall be decided by the Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Urban), U.P., Lucknow within a period of three months from the date of filing the representation and in case, the petitioner is found entitled to the claim made by him in the representation, the same shall be disbursed to the petitioner within a period of one month from the date of the decision.

With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of .
