Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that present petition has been preferred for issuance of direction to the respondent no. 2 i.e. Additional Director General of Police, Intelligence Headquarters, Uttar Pradesh Pradesh, Lucknow to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 25.01.2024 in the light of the Government Order dated 19.06.2019.

It is further submitted that the petitioner was initially appointed on the post of Constable in the Civil Police in the year 1991. The petitioner, thereafter, appointed on the post of Sub Inspector in Internal Departmental Examination and in the year 2017, he has been posted in the Local Intelligence Unit. Now, the petitioner wants to return to his parent department i.e. Civil Police and filed the present petition for issuing a direction to the respondent no. 2 to take a decision on the representation of the petitioner dated 25.01.2024 within the time stipulated by this court.

Learned Standing Counsel has no objection to the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

On the request of learned counsel for the petitioner and without entering into the merit of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 2 to take a decision on the representation of the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of certified copy of this order is served.
