Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.

This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer:-

"i. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding Regional Level Committee to forthwith grant approval in favour of the selected candidates having been selected on the post of Clerk within shortest period of time which may be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court."

It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioners that the selection for the post of clerk has already been conducted and the papers relating to the same have been forwarded to the Regional Level Committee for its approval on 06.11.2023, which is pending consideration since then.

As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, with the consent of the parties, the matter is being disposed of at the admission stage without calling for counter affidavit, with a direction upon respondent no.2- Regional Level Committee headed by the Joint Director of Education, Bareilly Region, Bareilly to expeditiously deal with the matter and take a final decision on the selected candidates and grant necessary approval, if there is no legal impediment, after hearing all the concerned parties strictly in accordance with law, preferably within

a period of one month from the date of production of certified copy of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, present writ petition stands disposed of.

It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the case on merit.
