1. The petitioner has preferred present writ petition inter-alia with the following prayers:-

I). Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent nos. 2 and 4 to ensure that petitioner's pension is revised within the time specified by the Hon'ble Court, taking into account petitioner entire service, i.e., 31.03.1997 to 31.03.2018;

II). Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to ensure payment of Revised Pension, the arrears of Revised Pension and other consequential amounts within the time to be specified by the Hon'ble Court.

It is argued by learned counsel for the petitioner that though the petitioner was initially appointed on the post of Assistant Teacher on 31.03.1997, but after retirement the pension of the petitioner was calculated treating his service, w.e.f. 19.09.2002, i.e., the date on which the petitioner was sanctioned trained grade. Counsel for the petitioner has placed reliance upon a Government Order dated 2nd February, 1996, copy of which is appended as annexure-2 to the present petition. It is further argued that in this regard, time and again representations were made by the petitioner before the authorities concerned but till date no decision has been taken, hence the present petition. Counsel for the petitioner has also placed reliance upon a letter dated 26.09.2019 written by the Additional Director, Treasury and Pension, to the Finance and Account Officer, Basic Education, Mau.
