Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.

Grievance raised by the petitioner in the present writ petition is with regard to non consideration of his application for appointment on compassionate grounds on account of the death of his sister namely Rachna Devi on 07.04.2024, who was working on the post of Stenographer in the Office of Commissioner Sales Tax, U.P. Lucknow.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that an application regarding grant of compassionate appointment to the petitioner was given to respondent no. 2 on 23.08.2024, but the same is pending consideration.

Learned counsel for the petitioner after arguing the matter up to some length submits that grievance of petitioner shall be sufficiently redressed in case respondent no. 2 is directed to consider and decide the application for grant of appointment on compassionate grounds expeditiously.

Learned Standing Counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of above, present writ petition is disposed of with direction to proceed to consider and pass necessary orders on the application of the petitioner dated 24.05.2024 (Annexure - 5 to the writ petition) expeditiously, say within two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order, in accordance with law and communicate the decision to the petitioner.
