Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

Petitioner has filed this Writ Petition inter alia praying therein for the following reliefs:-

"(i) Issue a writ order of direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent No. 2 to grant leave with full salary to the petitioner from 1.8.2024 to 30.7.2026 for two years of study for post of B. Sc. Nursing.

(ii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent No. 2 to decide the representations dated 30.1.2024 and 24.4.2024 preferred by petitioner for granting leave with full salary to the petitioner for two years i.e. 1.8.2024 to 30.7.2026 for study of Post B. Sc. Nursing."

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner had submitted that the petitioner had already filed a detailed representation on 30.1.2024 before Respondent No. 2 but till date he has not taken any decision in the matter.

On the other hand, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents has very fairly submitted that the ends of justice would be served if a direction is issued to Respondent No. 2 to consider and decide petitioner's representation with in a fixed time frame.

In view of the aforesaid submissions, this writ petition is finally disposed of with liberty to petitioner to file fresh representation within two weeks from today and if such representation is filed, Respondent No. 2 is directed to consider and decide the same within two weeks thereafter by passing speaking and reasoned order.
