Heard learned counsel for the appellants, learned A.G.A for the State and perused the record.

This Criminal Appeal has been preferred under Section 14-A (1) of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 to quash the cognizance/summoning order dated 17.10.2023 passed by Special Judge S.C./S.T. Act, Agra, in Case Crime No. 158 of 2023, against the applicant Nos. 1 and 2 for offence under Sections 147, 148, 323, 308, 504 IPC and applicant Nos. 3, 4 and 5 for offence under Sections 147, 148, 323, 308, 504 IPC and Sections 3(1)(r)(s), 3(2)(v-a) of S.C./S.T. Act, Police Station-Fatehabad, District-Agra.

Learned counsel for appellants submits that he is not pressing the appeal on merits and the present appeal may be disposed of finally with the direction to the court below that in case appellants surrender before the court below and apply for bail, their bail applications may be considered and decided expeditiously in accordance with law, including the law laid down in the case of Satender Kumar Antil Vs. Central Bureau of Investigation and another, (2021) 10 SCC 773.

Learned A.G.A. for the State has opposed the appeal.

For a period of 30 days from today or till the time of applying the bail application before the court concerned, whichever is earlier, no coercive action shall be taken against the appellant Nos. 1 and 5.

The instant appeal is disposed of, accordingly.
