In pursuance to the previous order passed by this Court, the Standing Counsel has obtained instructions and has handed over a copy of the same to the Court, which is taken on record.

On the basis of his instructions, the Standing Counsel states that the orders have been passed by the Chief Veterinary Officer, Hapud to pay regular salary to the applicant from month to month. The Standing Counsel further states that the salary of the applicant for the month of August, 2024 has already been paid.

The said fact is also admitted by the counsel for the applicant. However, the counsel for the applicant states that the salary of the applicant for the month of July, 2024 has not yet been paid.

A perusal of the instructions show and it has also been stated by the Standing Counsel that for the month of July, 2024 the applicant has filed his medical leave which is still being considered and his salary shall be released after the aforesaid medical leave is approved.

It would serve no purpose to keep the present contempt application pending.

The contempt application is disposed of with a direction to the Chief Veterinary Officer, Hapud to pass appropriate orders on the leave application of the applicant within 15 days from today and ensure that the salary of the applicant for the period of July, 2024 is released immediately thereafter.

With the aforesaid direction, the contempt application is disposed of.

It is clarified that the applicant shall be at liberty to file a fresh contempt application or an application for recall of the present order in case of any future non-compliance of the order passed by the writ Court.
