Keeping in view the nature of relief sought in the petition, there is no need to issue notice to the opposite parties.

By means of the instant petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has sought issuance of a direction to the learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Shravasti for expeditious disposal of Case No. 376/2021, under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.

The aforesaid suit was filed by the petitioner on 14.12.2021. A copy of the order sheet of the trial court has been annexed with the petition, which indicates that cross-examination of PW-1 was recorded partially on 21.01.2023 and it was concluded on 11.01.2024. Thereafter, the suit was fixed on three dates i.e. 30.01.2024, 20.03.2024 & 25.04.2024, on all of which the petitioner himself filed applications for adjournment.

As the petitioner himself has repetitively sought adjournments of the suit, the petition filed by him for

issuance of direction for expeditious disposal of the suit is not maintainable.
