Heard Shri Hari Anuj Bahadur Sinha, learned Counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional C.S.C. for the State.

The present writ petition has been preferred for issuing direction to the opposite parties particularly the respondent no.1 to ensure payment of medical imbursement incurred on liver transplant of the petitioner with 6% interest per annum on delay till the date actual payment is made.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has undergone a liver transplant surgery on 27.04.2022 in which the total expenses incurred by the petitioner was Rs. 25,29,281/-.

It is further submitted that after the surgery the petitioner has submitted the medical bill for its reimbursement but the matter is still pending before the respondent no.1.

Counsel for the petitioner also contends that the Director, Women Welfare Department, U.P. has forwarded the claim of the petitioner before the respondent no.1 by its letter dated 14.06.2023 and the matter is pending since then.

After arguing the matter at length, learned Counsel for the petitioner confines his prayer that the representation of the petitioner dated 03.01.2024 pending before the respondent no. 1 may be directed to be decided expeditiously.

Learned State Counsel has made no objection to the prayer made.

In view of the above, without entering into the merits of the case, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 1 to decide and take a decision on the representation dated 03.01.2024 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order in accordance with law.
