Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State Counsel.

The present writ petition has been preferred for issuing direction to the respondent no. 2 Director General, Medical Health and Family Welfare to take decision on the letter dated 19.10.2022 written by the respondent no. 2 for the purposes of grant of sanction of leave in reference to the representations of the petitioner dated 14.01.2022 and 17.10.2022, within a stipulated time frame as this Court may deem fit.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the sanction of leave of the petitioner forwarded by the C.M.O to the respondent no. 2 related to the medical leaves taken by the petitioner during the period since 27.09.1999 to 29.12.2006. Once the same has been sanctioned by the respondent no. 2, the petitioner will get the salary of the days/period on which the petitioner was on medical leave during 27.09.1999 to 29.12.2006.

Learned State Counsel has no objection to the aforesaid prayer made by learned counsel for petitioner.

On the request of learned counsel for the petitioner and without entering into the merits of the case, the respondent no. 2 is directed to take a decision in the matter of the petitioner as forwarded by respondent no. 4 vide its letter dated 19.10.2022, in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date certified copy of this order is served.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
