Petitioner was granted licence to run foreign liquor shop/ bar in the year 2018 which has been extended from time to time and was operative till 31st March, 2023. It is alleged that in February 2023, the petitioner applied before the authorities for renewal of licence but the matter is unauthorizedly kept pending and no final decision is being take, hence, this writ petition.
Learned State Counsel on the basis of instructions obtained from the authorities does not dispute the factual proposition that the concerned authority has not taken any decision in the matter relating to renewal of licence.
In that view of the matter, we dispose of this petition with the direction upon respondent no.3 to take appropriate decision in the matter relating to renewal of petitioner's foreign liquor shop/ bar licence within a period of three weeks from the date of presentation of the certified copy of this order.
