Heard Sri S.K. Pal, learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri D.K. Chaturvedi, learned counsel for Union of India-respondents.

The present writ petition has been preferred praying for direction commanding respondents to decide the application dated 22.5.2023 which is pending consideration before the second respondent i.e. General Manager, North Central Railway, Prayagraj wherein request has been made for appointment of an Arbitrator as per Clause 27 of the agreement dated 19.12.1980.

Learned counsel for Union of India states that in case, such application is still pending consideration, the concerned authority will taken final call on the said application within some reasonable time as this Court accords.

Considering the facts and circumstances, without adverting on merits of the case, we dispose of writ petition asking the second respondent to decide the petitioner's application as per law, expeditiously, preferably within three weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
