Heard Sri Satya Prakash Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. Shubhra Singh, learned Standing Counsel for State-respondents.

In pith and substance, the grievance of the petitioner is that direction be issued to the respondents for expeditious disposal on his representation dated 8.7.2023 wherein he has sought possession of the land of Gata No.227 as the same has not been handed over to the petitioner in spite of completion of mutation proceedings under Section 24 of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006.

Learned Standing Counsel fairly submitted that in case the representation of the petitioner has not been decided yet, the same will be decided by the concerned authority within the time as is fixed by this Court.

Considering the facts and circumstances, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the second respondent i.e. District Magistrate, Sant Kabir Nagar to decide the petitioner's representation dated 8.7.2023 in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within six weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.once a statutory provision is available, we are not inclined to entertain the present writ petition. Needless to say that we have not adverted any opinion on the merits of the case.
