The petitioner was awarded contract, for laying down the drinking water by pipelines, by Nagar Nigam, Saharanpur.

It is alleged that such work has been performed in the year 201718 but despite various assurances made admitted dues have not been released to the petitioner. Certain recommendations have been annexed with the petition which acknowledges liability of the Nagar Nigam to pay the amount to the petitioner.

Sri Jai Bahadur Singh, learned counsel for the respondents states that petitioner's grievance would be examined and necessary action would be taken, as per the law.

In that view of the matter, we permit the petitioner to approach 2nd respondent, in respect of grievance raised before this Court, within two weeks' from today along with a certified copy of this order. Second respondent shall ensure that the petitioner's claim is duly attended to, as per law, and admitted dues of the petitioner is released at the earliest. In the event of any dispute, the authority shall inform the petitioner of correct facts in that regard. Requisite action in terms of above direction will be taken by 2nd respondent within a period of two months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
