Heard learned counsel for the petitioners as well as learned Standing Counsel.

At the very outset learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the writ petition in respect of petitioner nos. 2 to 5 to file individual petitions as the district where they are working is different.

In view of the above, petition is permitted to be withdrawn in respect of petitioner nos. 2 to 5 with liberty to file afresh their individual petitions.

In respect of petitioner no. 1 learned Standing Counsel submits that petitioner may raise his grievance before the competent authority namely the respondent no. 2, if he is otherwise entitled for promotion to a higher post of Junior Clerk as per relevant service rules.

Learned counsel for the petitioner in this regard submits that the representation in this regard has already been made before the respondent no. 2 on 09.11.2022 that may be directed to be disposed of in accordance with law.

In view of the above without entering into the merits of the case, this petition stands disposed of with a direction that respondent no. 2 shall consider the grievance of the petitioner raised in his representation dated 09.11.2022 and decide the same within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

Needless to add that the order to be passed by the competent authority, as directed herein above, shall be reasoned and speaking one.
