Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel.

Petitioner who is working as Seasonal Collection Amin wants correction in the date of birth in the seniority list published/ issued by the respondents. He submits that as per the High School Certificate, his date of birth is 01.07.1966 and he had passed out High School in the year 1980 from U.P. Board Examination conducted by the Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, U.P., whereas, he entered employment as Seasonal Collection Amin subsequently on 11.02.1991 and therefore, he submits that his date of birth must be recorded as per his High School certificate. He submits that in the above regard he has made a representation before the District Magistrate, Mau several times in the past and the latest being one dated 17.08.2023 but submits that his application has remained undecided.

Learned Standing Counsel submits that he has no objection in the event this petition stands disposed of with a direction to the concerned competent respondent to look into and consider the grievance of the petitioner and pass appropriate order strictly in accordance with law.

In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with a direction that concerned competent respondent shall consider the grievance of the petitioner raised in his representation dated 17.08.2023 and decide the same within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

Needless to add that the order to be passed by the competent authority, as directed herein above, shall be reasoned and speaking one.
