Petitioners, who have been volunteers with the Prantiya Rakshak Dal, have worked from 1991 to March/ April, 2022 respectively. They want to be assigned duty further and in this regard they have approached the District Prantiya Rakshak Dal Officer, Prayagraj, served vide representation dated 26th November, 2022, however, no order has been passed thereupon till date. It is submitted in their behalf that Committee that has been constituted under the order dated 31st January, 2023 for the purposes of those volunteers, who have not been trained whereas petitioners who have rendered their services are not being assigned duty.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that matter can be directed to be examined strictly in accordance with law.
In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with a direction to the District Prantiya Rakshak Dal Officer, Prayagraj, namely, respondent No.- 5 to look into and consider the claim of the petitioners as raised in their representation dated 26th November, 2022 for giving assignments as Prantiya Rakshak Dal volunteers wherever is required and take a pragmatic view of the matter as petitioners have continuously discharged their duties from 1991 to till March/ April, 2022.
Appropriate order shall be passed within a period of 30 days from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
