Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned A.G.A. for the State, Sri Atul Pandey, learned counsel appearing for respondent no.5 and perused the record.

This habeas corpus petition has been filed on behalf of Tanu Singh through her friend Mohd. Sohrab with the allegation that corpus is illegally detained by respondent no.5, who is father of corpus.

In compliance of order dated 10.7.2023, corpus namely, Tanu Singh is produced before this Court by Sub Inspector Bechchu Prasad Yadav, Police Station Jahanaganj, District Azamgarh.

On being queried, the corpus namely, Tanu Singh states that she is major and is illegally detained by her father/respondent no.5. She further states that she is willing to go with her friend Mohd. Sohrab.

In view of the statement of corpus namely, Tanu Singh that she is major and is illegally detained by her father/respondent no.5 and she wants to go with her friend Mohd. Sohrab, the present habeas corpus petition is allowed. The corpus Tanu Singh is free to go anywhere of her choice.
