The present appeal under Section 374 (2) Cr.P.C has been preferred by the appellant against the judgment and order dated 11.5.1984 passed in S.T. No. 2 of 1982.
As per the office report dated 9.2.2023, a report of C.J.M., Ghaziabad dated 14.1.2019 has been received stating therein that the sole appellant Jagroop Singh has died on 5.3.1997. The said report has been sent after due inquiry.
This Court has perused the said report which states that the accused-appellant Jagroop Singh has died on 5.3.1997.
In view of the above, the appeal stands abated.
File consigned to records.
