Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and Ms. Pooja Agarwal, learned counsel appearing for the High Court pursuant to the previous order of this Court.

This petition under Article 227 of the Constitution of India has been filed with the following prayer:-

"(i) Issue an order or direction directing the court concerned (trial court) to decide the Suit No.41 of 1983 (Lalchand Vs. Ram Chander and others) in time frame without any further delay, in the better interest of justice."

It has been informed by the learned counsel for the High Court that previously the matter was adjourned twice as the parties to the suit were not present and now the present case has been fixed for 26.07.2023.

Given the fact that the suit, which is stated to be pending in the court of Additional Civil Judge (Junior Division), New Court No.2, District Jaunpur, is of the year 1983, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the trial court to take all such necessary steps to conclude the trial, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties, expeditiously and preferably within a period of twelve months from the date of filing of a certified copy of this order before it.
