1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri G.K. Pathak, learned Standing Counsel for the State.

2. Present petition has been filed with the following prayers:

"(I) A writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the opposite party no.1 to consider and decide application for interim relief and grant interim relief in favour of the petitioner in view of the law laid down in the case of Mool Chand Yadav and another Vs. Raja Buland Sugar Company Limited, Rampur and others, within stipulated time as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper, in the interest of justice.

(II) A writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the opposite parties to maintain status quo over the land in dispute, in the interest of justice.

3. Contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that a review application has been filed by the petitioner, which is pending consideration. In the said review, an application for grant of interim relief has also been filed, which is also pending consideration before respondent no.1.

Without going into the merits of the maintainability of the review or the interim relief application, the present petition is disposed off directing respondent no.1 to consider and decide the application for grant of interim relief filed by the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of three weeks.
