Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, Sri Vibhu Rai, learned counsel for respondent no.3 and Sri Dileep Kesharwani, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.

The instant petition has been filed praying for a writ of mandamus commanding respondent authority not to reserve Ward No. 8, Tenduwavan, Nagar Nigam, Prayagraj and declare the seat as General seat after correcting the voter list of Ward No. 8 Tenduwavan, Nagar Nigam, Prayagraj.

Learned Standing Counsel has placed for our perusal circular dated 24.11.2022 received from the State Election Commission, U.P. addressed to the District Election Officers in the State mentioning that any mistake in the electoral list can be corrected after affording opportunity of hearing to the affected persons until the date of nomination.

Learned counsel for the petitioners states that in view of the above circular of the State Election Commission, U.P., the petitioners will seek remedy in accordance thereof by approaching the District Election Officer.

Accordingly, we dispose of the petition with the above liberty.
