The petitioners have filed the instant petition praying for a mandamus directing respondent nos.2 and 3 to implement the provisions of Section 22(3) of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 and Rule 7(5) of U.P. Street Vendors Within the Area of An Industrial Development Authority Street Vendors (Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Rules, 2018 and fix allowances payable to nominated members of Town Vending Committee.

The case of the petitioners is that they were nominated as members of the Town Vending Committee and their term had also expired but they have not been paid the allowances.

Shri Kaushalendra Nath Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent no.2 states that the grievance of the petitioners, as contained in their representation dated 02.08.2022, will be considered and appropriate decision will be taken.

Shri Sudhir Mehrotra, learned counsel for the petitioners, agrees to the proposal.

Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioners, we dispose of this writ petition by providing that the representation of the petitioners dated

02.08.2022 shall be decided by respondent no.2 by means of a speaking order within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of true attested copy of the instant order alongwith photocopy of the representation.
