The prayer made in the instant petition is for a direction to respondents no.1 to 4 to ensure protection of the life and personal liberty of the petitioner which is under threat from respondent no.5.
It is submitted that the petitioner has filed three different proceedings against her husband, respondent no.5 under the provisions of the Protection of Woman from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. Respondent no.5 is now extending threats to her and, therefore, it is urged that the Senior Superintendent of Police be directed to look into the matter.
Having regard to the submission made, we dispose of the petition with liberty to the petitioner to approach respondent no.3 for redressal of her grievance and in which event, we hope and trust that remedial measures will be taken by him in accordance with law.
