The prayer made in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to release the petitioner's pre/ post retiral benefits.
The counter afÏdavit has been filed by the State and in paragraphs- 8 and 9 of the said counter afÏdavit, it has been stated by the State authorities that payment due to the petitioner has already been paid.
No rejoinder afÏdavit to the said counter afÏdavit has been filed.
Accordingly, in view of the averments made in the counter afÏdavit, the writ petition appears to have lost its efÏcacy.
The petition is, thus, disposed of.
