The petitioner had filed the instant writ petition with a prayer that the suspension order dated 28.9.2007 be quashed. Also, the petitioner had prayed for a direction that the full pension, gratuity and other retiral benefits be granted to the petitioner.

Today, instructions have been placed by the learned Standing Counsel which are dated 5.3.2022. They be kept on record. A copy of the instructions be also supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner.

From the instructions, it appears that a decision has been taken that the suspension order had been revoked with effect from 30.6.2008.

Under such circumstances, the prayer with regard to the quashing of the suspension order becomes infructuous. However, a direction is being issued that all the retiral benefits of the petitioner which are payable to him be paid to him within a period of two months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.

With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of.
