A first information report has been lodged against the petitioner under Section 135 of Indian Electricity Act (Amendment) 2003, which is registered as Case Crime No. 724 of 2020. A subsequent first information report has been lodged by the petitioner against the ofÏcers of the Electricity Board on the ground that proceedings were not initiated as per law against the petitioner. Certain reports are relied upon in order to contend that guilt of ofÏcials is established. Prayer in the writ petition is made to direct the authorities to conclude the investigation by constituting a Special Investigation Team.

We have perused the materials on record, from a perusal whereof, it transpires that a first information report has been lodged on 6.12.2021, in which the investigation is pending. We do not find any unusual delay in the matter which may require any direction from this Court to expedite the proceedings. Even otherwise, the report in this regard cannot be treated as conclusive, particularly as investigation is yet to conclude and therefore, no direction in this writ petition is called for, at this stage.

Liberty, however, stands reserved to the petitioner to approach the second respondent alongwith a copy of this order, annexing all materials in respect of her grievance and it goes without saying that the second respondent shall issue necessary directions, as are found expedient in the facts of the case, so as to conclude the investigation, expeditiously.

With the above observations, the writ petition stands disposed off.
