The prayer made in the present petition is for a direction to the respondents to pay compensation to the petitioners on account of utilisation of their land for Gokul Barrage in District Mathura, which has been submerged in water.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that petitioners have already been paid compensation in terms of the report of the Special Land Acquisition Officer dated November 29, 2021.
In view of the aforesaid stand taken by learned counsel for the State, the prayer made in the present petition has been rendered infructuous.
The petition is dismissed as such.
However, petitioners are at liberty to revive the petition in case any relief still survives.
