Solitary relief sought by the petitioners in this petition is to direct the respondent no.3 Competent Authority/ Special Land Acquisition Officer, Mau, to decide the objection filed by the petitioners under section 3H (3) National Highways Act, 1956.

It is contended that objection is pending since 26.12.2020 and no decision has yet been taken.

In view whereof, while declining to advert on the second relief sought by the petitioners for realisation of amount of compensation in their favour as per their shares land bearing Plot No.28Sa admeasuring 0.010 hectare. The petition is disposed of finally with a direction to respondent no.3 that, in case if the objection is not decided till date, to decide the objection expeditiously, however, not later than 30 days from the date of communication of this order after affording opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned. In case, a decision has already been tendered by the respondent no.3, the same shall be served on petitioners.

It is made clear that we have not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.
