Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Standing counsel for the State respondent.
By means of the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no.2 District Magistrate, Fategarh, Farrukhabad to grant fire arm license to the petitioner i.e. Revolver/Pistol and further to decide the application dated 23.1.2019 and 21.9.2020 pending before him.
It is submitted by learned counsel for petitioner that the petitioner is respectable person of the society and for the safety of himself and his family, he applied for arm license the same is still pending till date and in this regard, he filed an applications dated 23.1.2019 and 21.9.2019 which is pending till date. The concerned authority has not considered the applications of the petitioner.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending and an appropriate direction may be issued to respondent no.2 to consider the grievance of the petitioner.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merit of the case and with the consent of the parties, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no.2 District Magistrate, Fategarh, Farrukhabad to decide the applications dated 23.1.2019 and 21.9.2019 of the petitioner within a period of six months from the date of production of certified copy/computerized copy of this order.
The concerned Court/Authority/Official shall verify the authenticity of such computerized copy of the order from the official website of High Court Allahabad and shall act accordingly without waiting for submission of the certified copy of this order.
The writ petition is disposed of.
