The petitioner by way of present petition seeks following reliefs:-

"1. Issue writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding respondent No.2 to decide the representation order dated 02.12.20 (Annexure-6) of the petitioner.

2. Issue any other order or direction which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper under the circumstance of the case.

3. To award the cost of this petition in favour of petitioner."

The grievance raised by the petitioner through his representation in respect of alleged illegality committed while carrying out shifting of electric poles, electricity lines and transformers due to widening of roads during Kumbh Mela 2018-19. The petitioner alleges violation of provisions containing under Sections 67, 68, 69 of the Electricity Act, 2003, Rule 3, 4 & 7 of the Works of Licensees Rules, 2006, Rule 29, 50, 51, Chapter VII, Rule 63, 64, 65 to 69, Chapter VIII, Rule 74 to 80 Indian Electricity Rules, 1956.

It is borne out from the record that the Chief Engineer (Distribution) Purvanchal Electricity Distribution Company Limited has taken cognizance on representation preferred by the petitioner, and issued certain direction on 26.12.2020. However, the dismissal of the petition will not come in way for logical conclusion of the inquiry which is being directed vide communication dated 26.12.2020.
