This writ petition has been filed praying for the following relief:
"(i) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the first information report dated 11.05.2021 registered as case crime no.0226 of 2021 U/s 147, 148, 149, 307, 302, 201, 323 I.P.C. P.S. Bilsi, District Badaun, (Annexure no.1 to the writ petition);
(ii) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents not to arrest the petitioners in case crime no.0226 of 2021 U/s 147, 148, 149, 307, 302, 201, 323 I.P.C. P.S. Bilsi, District Badaun, registered in pursuance of the impugned first information report dated 11.5.2021 (Annexure no.1 to the writ petition);"
After the arguments were heard at some length, learned counsel for the petitioners states that the writ petition may be dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioners to apply for bail.
In view of the aforesaid and without expressing an opinion on merits of the case of the petitioners, the writ petition is dismissed with liberty as prayed.
