Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned A.G.A.and learned counsel for respondent no.4.
This writ petition has been filed praying for the following reliefs:
"a) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the first information report dated 12.8.2020 (Annexure No.1 to the writ petition) registered as Case Crime No.521 of 2020, under Sections 498-A, 304-B, 504, 201 IPC and 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, Police Station Baghpat, District Baghpat.
b) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents not to arrest the petitioner in pursuance of first information report dated 12.8.2020 registered as Case Crime No.521 of 2020, under Sections 498-A, 304-B, 504, 201 IPC and 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, Police Station Baghpat, District Baghpat."
After the arguments were heard at some length, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner wants to withdraw the writ petition and therefore, it may be dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to apply for bail.
Learned A.G.A. has no objection to the aforesaid request of the petitioner.
In view of the aforesaid, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioner to apply for bail in accordance with law.
It is made clear that we have not expressed any opinion on merits of the case of the petitioner.
