Petitioner's grandfather had a firearm licence. After his death an application for transfer of firearm licence has been moved, which has remained pending since 2.7.2019. This petition has been filed for a direction upon the competent authority to pass necessary orders upon the transfer application.
Learned Standing Counsel states that unless appropriate orders have already been passed the competent authority shall do the needful in the matter.
In the facts and circumstances, noticed above, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction upon respondent no.2 to pass necessary orders upon petitioner's transfer application for grant of firearm licence, within a period of two months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
