This writ petition has been filed, inter alia, for the following relief;
"(i) Issue, a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing/commanding the respondents' authority to provide domestic electric connection of 1 K.W. to petitioner at House No. 178, Nayapurwa, Kareily, District Allahabad (Prayagraj);"
Heard Sri Istyak Khan, learned counsel for petitioner, Sri Mahboob Ahmad, learned counsel for the Electricity Department and perused the record.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this writ petition is finally disposed of with a direction to the Respondent No. 5, Executive Engineer to consider and decide the grievance/application of the petitioner pending before it in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably, within two weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
In case any order with respect to grievance of the petitioner has already been passed by the said authority, the same shall be supplied to petitioner forthwith.
