Heard learned counsel for the parties.

By means of present writ petition the petitioners have prayed for quashing the impugned result/recommendation dated 27.1.2020 issued by the U.P. Public Service Commission, Prayagraj. The request has also been made for issuing direction to the respondents to call upon the petitioners for interview for the post of Lecturer (Art), S-04/17 and thereafter declare fresh result.

Shri Sumit Sori, Advocate holding brief of Shri Nipun Singh, Advocate appearing for U.P. Public Service Commission informs to the Court that he has received necessary instruction from the Commission, wherein it has been stated that the petitioners belong to OBC category and total 71 OBC candidates were called against 20 vacancies in OBC category. So far as petitioner no.1 Vandana Kumari Verma is concerned, she has secured 84 marks and the petitioner no.2 Jay Prakash has secured 86 marks, whereas the last selected candidate in OBC has secured 110 marks. The instruction is taken on record.

Once a categorical instruction is placed that the petitioners have secured much below marks from the marks secured by the last selected candidate in OBC category, then the Court is of the considered opinion that no relief can be extended to the petitioners.

Consequently, the present writ petition is dismissed.
