Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondent.

Learned counsel for the petitioner argues that the petitioner retired from his service as Chief Medical Officer in the year 2011, subsequently, certain benefits were directed to be paid with retrospective effect from 12.2.2008.

The petitioner claims that although he is being paid the pension. The difference of salary for the period 01.12.2008 to 31.3.2011 has not been paid to the petitioner despite repeated requests and reminders.

Learned counsel for the petitioner argues that although the papers have been forwarded, no steps have been taken for payment of the salary for the said period.

The present petition is disposed off giving opportunity to the petitioner to file fresh representation before the Chief Medical Officer, Mahrajganj (Respondent no. 4) within a period of three weeks from today. In the event such representation is filed the said respondent shall pass a reasoned order and take appropriate action expeditiously, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.

The writ petition is disposed off in terms of the order passed above.
