This writ petition, inter alia, has been filed for the following reliefs;

(i) issue a suitable, writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 3 to produce the original records with regard to the complaints made by the petitioner and action taken thereupon by the university authorities.

(ii) issue a suitable, writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent nos. 2 & 3 to take appropriate action against the respondent no. 6 with regard to the complaints and allegations made against the respondent no. 6 strictly in accordance with law in the light of the fact finding reports.

(iii) issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent nos. 2 and 3 to enquire and verify the genuineness and correctness of the essential educational qualification of the respondent no. 6 on which basis he succeeded to get appointment on the post of Assistant Professor in the department of Shiya Theology, Aligarh Muslim University.

(iv) issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent university authorities to award appropriate compensation to the petitioner for the loss and jeopardy.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the record.

Serious allegations have been made against the respondent no. 6, who is Assistant Professor in the Aligarh Muslim University of causing harassment to the petitioner which has resulted in suffering, pain agony and mental depression.

On the basis of instructions received from the University, the counsel appearing for the University submits that the grievance raised by the petitioner through his complaint is under consideration, however, the counsel for the petitioner has denied the said submission.

Be that as it may, in view of the facts and circumstances of the

case, without expressing opinion on merits, we direct the petitioner to file a representation before the Vice Chancellor within a period of three weeks from today who shall look into the matter and do the needful in accordance with law expeditiously.

The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
