The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition with the prayer to direct the Settlement Officer of Consolidation, Mirzapur/respondent no. 2 to decide his application dated 12.03.2018, which is pending consideration before him since about two years.
It is further contended that an appeal was preferred by the present petitioners before respondent no. 2 being appeal no. 678/014-15. Subsequently a new number was allotted namely Appeal No. 103/238 of 2019. It is contended that inspite of the best efforts of the petitioners the respondent no. 2 is not passing any order on the same.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of respondent nos. 1 and 2 and Sri Ram Babu Yadav, learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent no. 3.
With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, without entering into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of finally directing the respondent no. 2 to decide the aforesaid application, expeditiously and preferably within a period of four months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
