The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition to issue a mandamus directing the Settlement Officer of Consolidation, Bareilly/respondent no. 2 to decide the pending appeal of the petitioner expeditiously.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel put his appearance on behalf of respondent nos. 1 and 2.
In view of the order proposed to be passed today, notices need not be issued to the respondent nos. 3 to 6.
In the facts and circumstances of the case, without entering into the merits of the case the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent no. 2 to decide the appeal no. 397/TB of 2019, expeditiously and preferably within a period of one year from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
