Supplementary affidavit filed today is taken on record.
It is contended in the supplementary affidavit that the petitioner's brother was unmarried and other heirs and legal representative of the licensee have no objection.
By means of the present petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction to the District Magistrate, Chitrakoot to decide the application dated 27.09.2017 of the Arms licence filed by the petitioner within a stipulated period.
To this prayer, learned Standing Counsel raises no objection.
Be that as it may, without entering into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the present petition is being disposed of with the direction to the District Magistrate, Chitrakoot to decide the application dated 27.09.2017 of the Arms licence filed by the petitioner, expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from the date of submission of certified copy of this order after after seeking a report with regard to the credentials of the petitioner.
