Personal affidavit of the District Magistrate, Bareilly has been filed today, which is taken on record.
It is stated therein that pursuant to the order dated 20.7.2018 passed in this writ petition, the District Magistrate, Bareilly issued an order dated 18.8.2018 notifying therein that the requisite-Form (A-1) can be obtained from the Rifle Club Bareilly or it can alternatively be applied Online by the prospective applicant. The notice in this regard has been displayed on the notice of the Rifle Club, Bareilly.
Copy of the order dated 18.8.2018 passed by the District Magistrate Bareilly has been brought on record with the written instructions.
Considering the said fact, this Court finds that there is no impediment before the petitioner for applying in the requisiteForm (A-1) for grant of fire arms licence before the licensing authority.
It is open for the petitioner to submit Form (A-1) and on completion of requisite formalities, the licensing authority would be under obligation to take a decision on merits.
With the aforesaid observation/direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
