This writ petition has been filed interalia for the following reliefs:

(i) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 1 and 2 to release the compensation in favour of the petitioners with regard to the part of the Khasra No. 689 of Khata No. 69 situated in Village Hajipur Ubarpur Pargana, Tehsil and District Hapur.

(ii) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 1 to decide the representation/objection dated 01.06.2018 filed by the petitioners as soon as possible.

Heard Sri Rahul Kumar Tyagi, learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent no. 1, Sri Rajnish Kumar Rai, learned counsel for the respondent no. 2- Railway Department and perused the record.

Perusal of the notice dated 05.06.2018 issued by respondent no. 1-Additional District Magistrate (Land Acquisition)/Combined Organization, District Ghaziabad indicates that the matter is pending before it for deciding the claim of the petitioners with regard to compensation for acquisition of land in question.

Railway Project empowers the competent authority to determine the persons who in its opinion are entitled to receive the amount payable to each of them.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition is finally disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 1-Additional District Magistrate (Land Acquisition)/Combined Organization, District Ghaziabad to decide the matter in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order after hearing the concerned parties.
