The matter has been called out in the revised list. None appears to press this writ petition though name of the learned counsel for the petitioner is reflected in the cause list. Learned Standing Counsel on behalf of State is present.

The petitioner has approached this court for the following reliefs:-

"(i) issue, a writ, order or direction, in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the order dated 26/6/08, passed by Respondent No.2, enclosed as Annexure-1, to the writ petition.

(ii) issue, a writ, order or direction, in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent No.2, to reconsider the claim of the petitioner with regard to the final allocation of the petitioner, in pursuance of the Government Orders and Guidelines issued by State Government, Central Government and State Advisory Committee and in accordance with the provision of U.P. Reorganization Act, 2000.

(iii) issue, a writ, order or direction, in the nature of mandamus, directing the Respondent No.2, to finally allocate the petitioner to the State of Uttarakhand in pursuance of the first and second crfitai i.e. option and

domicile status of the petitioner.

(iv) issue, a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus, directing the Respondent No.2, to sympathetically consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26/8/08, and to pass appropriate order on the representation of the petitioner in accordance with the provision of U.P. Reorganization Act, 2000 and in pursuance of the Government order dated 2/7/2002.

(v) Issue, any other writ order or direction in favour of the petitioner, as this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the present facts and circumstances of the case, so as to secure the ends of justice or else, the petitioner shall suffer irreparably.

(vi) award costs of the Writ Petition to the petitioner."

This court does not have territorial jurisdiction to command the State of Uttarakhand to permit the petitioner to join in the police force of the State of Uttarakhand. Moreover the matter has been pending for more than 10 years and no subsequent developments have been brought in the record by learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the above, this petition is dismissed.
