The petitioner was suspended by order dated 08.01.2001 in contemplation of disciplinary enquiry.
Learned Standing Counsel for the State submits that the charges, which are being investigated by the departmental enquiry, are serious enough to warrant a major punishment in case such charges are proved.
A perusal of the charge-sheet discloses that the charges laid out against the petitioner are grave acts of misconduct, which if proved in the departmental enquiry, would result in a major penalty. There is no infirmity in the order of suspension.
The writ petition is dismissed.
