Heard Sri H.R. Mishra, learned Senior Advocate assisted by Sri V.P. Rai, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for respondent no. 1 and Sri Vivek Verma, learned counsel for respondents no. 3, 4 & 5.

Sri Sujeet Kumar has accepted notice on behalf of respondent no. 2.

The petitioner in the writ petition is seeking a direction to the respondents to provide the revised pay-scale to him as per the Pay Commission Report. In respect of his claim, he is stated to have preferred a representation before the Commissioner, Nagar Nigam, Kanpur, respondent no. 4 on 12.6.2018 by registered post, copy of which has been filed as annexure-14 to the writ petition.

No useful purpose would be served in keeping this writ petition pending.

The writ petition is, therefore, disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner, Nagar Nigam Kanpur, respondent no. 4 to consider and decide the petitioner's representation dated 12.6.2018, annexure-14 to the writ petition, in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order in his office. Alongwith the certified copy the petitioner shall also provide a copy of the representation dated 12.6.2018.

It is made clear that the Court has not adjudicated the claim of the petitioner on merit.
